Our programmes combine rigorous academic foundations with hands-on clinical experience to produce competent, confident and compassionate nursing professionals.
The National Diploma (ND) in Nursing is a two-year competency-based programme accredited by NBTE and NMCN. It covers foundational nursing sciences, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, primary healthcare, and clinical practice across ND1 and ND2 levels.
The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing builds on the ND qualification, covering advanced medical-surgical nursing, reproductive health, mental health nursing, research methodology, community and hospital-based clinical practice, and nursing entrepreneurship across HND1 and HND2 levels.
We provide an environment in which students can learn effectively, receive appropriate guidance, develop confidence and prepare adequately for professional practice.
We challenge every student to discover and develop their full potential through high academic and professional standards.
We nurture nurses who deliver safe, respectful and patient-centred care with deep human dignity.
Professionalism begins with personal discipline β integrity, accountability and respect define our students.
We prepare nurses who make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities.

Hear from the future nurses who call Martha's College their academic home.
βMartha's College has given me a strong foundation in both the science and art of nursing. The simulation lab and caring faculty make learning practical and inspiring.β

Sarah Alagoa
Basic Nursing, 200 Level
Current students share their day-to-day experience β from the simulation lab to community postings.

Grace Samuel
Basic Nursing

βThe simulation lab here is incredible. We practise skills on high-fidelity manikins before ever touching a real patient, so when we get to clinical postings we feel ready and confident.β

Daniel Owei
Basic Midwifery
200 Level
βThe lecturers know each of us by name. When I struggled with anatomy, my tutor stayed after class to help me until I got it. That kind of care is rare.β

Blessing Ene
Community Nursing
Final Year
βOur community health postings took us into real villages. I delivered health education to mothers and screened for hypertension. It showed me why nursing matters.β
Our pioneer graduates are already making a meaningful difference in healthcare across Bayelsa State and beyond.

βMartha's College gave me the confidence and competence to deliver safe, compassionate care. The simulation lab prepared me for real patients in ways textbooks never could. Today I work in the medical-surgical ward of a major hospital and I love every moment of it.β
